Product Features and Details
Model Description:
Each REI Military Model is a one-of-a-kind collectible, professionally hand-painted and assembled to the highest standards. Every piece features authentic World War II-era camouflage patterns inspired by actual Wehrmacht vehicle liveries. The process includes full disassembly, precision masking, and airbrushing, followed by hand-painted weathering and reassembly to ensure maximum realism.
For this particular REI set, we have used one Artitec four-axle flatcar, three Roco two-axle stake cars, and two Roco boxcars as the transport wagons-each enhanced with painted and weathered side frames, deck planks, and realistic wooden chalks for vehicle securing. The rolling stock accurately represents the types of cars used by the Deutsche Reichsbahn during the height of the Wehrmacht's logistical operations across Europe.
Vehicles in this set include:
A German Landsverk L-181/L-180 armored car, used by reconnaissance units in the early war period.
A Hansa-Lloyd Merkur truck, typical of Wehrmacht logistical convoys.
A Sturmpanzer IV "Brummbär", a heavy assault gun deployed during the Battle of Kursk and in urban warfare such as the Warsaw Uprising.
A Sdkfz 251 armored personnel carrier, the most widely used half-track by German mechanized infantry and panzergrenadier divisions.
All vehicles are finely detailed Artitec models, featuring fully detailed undercarriages, accurately replicated camouflage, and weathered finishes that reflect battlefield wear and use. Each freight car is equipped with NEM 362 coupler pockets for easy integration into any HO-scale layout.
This is a museum-quality model train set that captures the essence of German military rail logistics during WWII. It will make a striking and historically rich addition to any model railway or military collection.
Please note: Artitec soldier figures shown in photos are not included.
